The health and safety of our employees, suppliers, customers and partners is paramount to NKT with an aim of zero injuries. We are continuously working to strengthening our safety culture by mitigating risks and supporting the necessary behavior for ongoing improvements.. In 2022 we launched our updated safety strategy with the target to have a Total Recordable Injury Rate (TRIR) of no more than 0.6 ) by 2028.

To track our progress and ensure fast mitigation, we are working with three main Health and Safety KPI’s.
Total Recordable Injury Rate (TRIR): 1.14 in 2022
Defined as the combined number of Fatal Injuries, Lost Time Injuries, Medical Treatment Injuries and Restricted Work Cases, multiplied with 200.000 and divided by the sum of worked hours.
